Erasmus+

What is Erasmus+ ?

The European Union programme Erasmus+ funds projects for schools and other organisations active in the field of school education across Europe. This is to provide learning opportunities to individuals and to support internationalisation and institutional development of schools and other organisations in school education.
In May 2022, we hosted our partner school is Austria. We organised a range of activities for students and staff to learn about daily school life in Ireland. We finished off the week with a school concert where students from CTI & Austrians performed together.
In October 2023, the Erasmus + committee applied for Accreditation which would allow us to get easier access to funding opportunities over a period of several years. We received accreditation in February 2024 & our funding in May 2024.

Our Objectives:
Create a positive multicultural and multilingual environment for staff and students & digital transformation in education and training
We want to give students in CTI Clonmel an opportunity to experience other cultures & meet peers their own age. We want students to return from mobility projects and help students from diverse backgrounds to integrate in our school. We also hope that students will gain an understanding in to the importance of learning a second language!
Our staff will also engage in job shadowing activities & hopefully integrate what they have learned into their classes to further improve teaching & learning.
